It is wonderful to be here in China and to be working for ISA. I have been to China a number of times but the opportunity to live and work here has been in my mind for many years. I am looking forward to meeting all the children and parents, and other family members and friends who play a big part in your children’s upbringing and education. I believe that family is at the heart of all education. I know from experience raising my own children that education extends beyond the school gate.
For the past two months or so, students have had to take online classes due to the restrictions of the epidemic and the campus has been extraordinarily quiet. The school has missed each and every student during their absence and is looking forward to the return of all students. And this week, after nearly 70 days and nights of waiting, the students were finally able to return to their familiar campus.
This book helps me focus on the big picture of what I am trying to do as a leader and that we are trying to do as a school. The smaller details are easy to work out if your vision is clear and you know WHY you are doing what you do.
